Tiltable Wind-Generated Electricity System

The tiltable system enables us to perform maintenance on the ground and largely reduce maintenance cost and stop time for windmills.
In addition, we can protect windmills from typhoons by fixing them to the ground.

Windmills for islands

Okinawa has 49 inhabited islands and a large number of uninhabited islands all in a subtropical region with an oceanic climate frequented by typhoons.
In order to introduce windmills to the islands, harsh climate conditions such as salt damage and typhoons must be considered.

Progressive Energy (PEC) has set up windmills that can endure these conditions.
We produced a tower in Japan based on GEV-MP-C of the French Vergnet Company and were able to introduce the most suitable windmill by using Nasser of GEV-MP-C.
PEC installed the first two Japanese tiltable windmills in Haterumajima , then installed two tiltable windmills in South Daito afterwards.

In addition, we can protect windmills from typhoons by fixing them to the ground.

Twin-Blade Rotor Type

Because of the twin-blade rotor design, it can be maintained on the ground.

Compact Nasser

It is possible to store two Nassers in standard 20 ft. containers.

Light Branch Line Tower

It is possible to store whole tower parts in standard 20 ft. containers.

Simple Assembling

We can assemble the whole windmill on the ground and lift the tower with an oil pressure winch afterwards.
A forklift and a minimum 30 ton crane are necessary for assembly.

Typhoon Resistance Strength

We can tilt a windmill within one hour with the tiltable system.
It has a maximum typhoon wind velocity tolerance of 85m/s if fixed to the ground.

Small Foundation

In the addition to the lightweight tower, only a small foundation is necessary, because it is fixed by support wires.

Earthquake Resistance Strength

Due to the flexible structure of the branch-line type tower, it is reliable in a region with commonly occurring earthquakes.
